It fucking annoys me that people assume I got the A&G position because of connections.
Being able to secure a place for an attachment and for pupillage are two entirely separate issues.
My aunt is not a partner in the firm and it is the partners who do recruitment of legal staff.
The partner I interned under did not even know I was applying.
I am sick of “So is your interview a formality?” “Oh but you were definately going to A&G what”.
I won’t even say I deserved it and earned it, which I very well might.
But I will say that I am very blessed.
Which I am.
